Albert Street development is a continuation of the Smithfield Road development, just larger in scale with 103 residential lots, along with recreational and stormwater utility reserves to vest to Ashburton District Council. 

There is an existing water race running through the site which is to be protection and enhancement for ecology and public amenity.  The design has been centred around retaining the water race, which created challenges for designing road and service crossings, while maintaining conveyance of upper catchment stormwater flows through the site. 

Stage 1 is currently under construction, using the same development team as Smithfield Road.  Capture is the led consultant looking after planning, engineering and surveying, and Tarbotton Land and Civil are the main civil contractors. 

It’s been great working with Wilsons again on a land development project and looking forward to progressing through the remaining development stages.
